Something good happened in Erie – 11/15/2018

A turkey.

Without further ado, your Idiotville feel-good story of the week: http://www.goerie.com/news/20181114/free-thanksgiving-dinners-abound-around-erie

Look, sometimes things don’t go as you planned. Maybe you’re down on your luck or just having a bad day. Maybe you’ve lost something you can’t get back.

As bad as things might get, though, you’ve probably never faced the prospect of being hungry and alone on Thanksgiving. Luckily, right here in Idiotville some folks are planning to donate their Thanksgiving holiday in the service of others, providing a reprieve and a hot meal for those down on their luck.

As the holidays approach, it’s easy to stress over the types of things some people would die to have. Seeing your family, deciding which gifts to buy, trying to get some time away from work – those aren’t problems. Not really.

Local idiots can feel good knowing there are so many people planning to honor the true spirit of Thanksgiving: sharing some of their bounty with their fellow men and women, with no expectation of recognition or reciprocation.

From we here at Idiotville, a sincere thanks in advance to all planning to participate in a good deed.
